The Cots 4 Tots story
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit foundation which supports the Marine Corps' annual toy drive. It provides financial, advisory, administrative, logistical and promotional support to local Toys for Tots Coordinators and various other services that the Marine Corps cannot provide. It also distributes educational and informational materials to the general public, arranges for national companies to include information about Toys for Tots in their paid advertisements and conducts an education and publicity program every year.
Cots 4 Tots began in 2010 as a campaign to raise funds for Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital. The charity has raised more than tens of thousands of dollars since its beginning, helping families with sick and premature babies throughout the West of England and South Wales. Its work includes family accommodation houses as well as providing the latest equipment for the NICU.
One of the primary focuses is the Cots For Tots House, which is a no-cost "home from home" for families staying in the hospital. It is located right next to the NICU which allows parents to be close to their babies. The charity has helped more than 2,100 families stay in the house since 2012.

The therapist uses specially designed resonant musical instruments that are tuned to specific frequencies, and play soothing tunes to soothe babies. Additionally, the resonant instruments also create vibrations that help relax the mothers and fathers.

Her daughter and son are both healthy now, but she continues to visit them regularly and is grateful to the team that looked after them.
